Company Leaders
Michael Sappington - Chief Executive Officer
Since 2006, Mike has served as CEO of gloStream. Charting out the organization’s long term vision and developing its unique channel program and product roadmap are Mike’s predominant responsibilities although he provides direction and input in virtually all areas of the company from operations and development to sales and marketing.
Mike’s 20-plus years experience in information technology with fast growing companies as an entrepreneur, senior leader and visionary has given him key insight into the types of software and delivery methods needed to make a healthcare software company successful. He is intimately familiar with the logic and functionality within every piece of gloStream software. In addition, it was his vision and understanding of the healthcare segment that led to the development of gloStream’s partner program and its 100% partner driven model - the only one in the industry.
A decade ago, as partner and COO of Michigan-based Netrex Secure Solutions, Mike took part in pioneering and developing a platform for Web-based managed security services. At a time when businesses were just beginning to consider the implications of connecting to an online network, his vision positioned security as the enabler for the successful use of the Internet. Mike helped build Netrex into one of the world’s largest managed security services companies in the world. Netrex was eventually purchased by Internet Security Systems (ISS), which is now part of IBM. It remains one of the largest managed security services firms across the globe.
Prior to joining Netrex, Mike held sales and senior management positions at Aangstrom Precision Corp., a software development and services company for the oil and gas industry. While at Aangstrom, he serviced global industry leaders such as Shell, Texaco and Mobil.
