gloStream is looking to fill a full time field service technician position. The position will require travel around the United States for weeks at a time. Being a road warrior is a must! This position will demand the very best a technician has to offer.

Responsibilities

  • Taking support calls from our partner companies
  • Logging support cases for issues not solved immediately
  • Following up on existing cases
  • Work remotely on client networks
  • Working with open cases to resolution and/or developing workarounds until resolution can be achieved
  • Installing patches and maintaining current software versions
  • Diagnose and correct day-to-day network issues (back-ups, alerts, etc.)
  • Assisting in the maintenance of network documentation
  • Effective communication with partners, development, and management, on open cases
  • Providing the highest level of customer satisfaction possible
  • Write, update, or review documentation for the system

Requirements

  • Experience with Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Experience with SQL Server 2005 Standard/Workgroup, Replication, SQL queries
  • Experience with Windows XP/Vista
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2003/2007
  • Excellent system/network troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • MCP/MCSE certification, other industry certifications a plus
  • Able to travel in and out of state for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation
