gloStream is a fast paced, rapidly expanding company that specializes in electronic medical records and practice management software. We are currently expanding our Product Management group to include a new position for a Business Analyst, who will be assigned to our Electronic Medical Record Product Line. The qualified applicant will have an extensive background in the Ambulatory Healthcare market with specific experience and a deep knowledge of the features, functionality and technologies required to create world class products to serve the Electronic Medical Records market.
Responsibilities
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs, feature and functionality requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Development requirements, Use Cases, GUI, Workflow and Interface designs.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- Develop requirements specifications and user stories according to standard templates, using natural language.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
- Monitor the Health Information Industry for the publication of government and industry regulations that impact our EMR Product Roadmap. Propose solutions to address new regulations and provide planning for coordination of product deployment and regulatory deadlines.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the planning and processes required to obtain official certification for EMR products from government regulatory agencies such as HHS and CCHIT.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs or government regulations and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, developers and subject matter experts.
- Experience in Agile Development environments such as SCRUM. Specific experience desired in maintaining a Product Backlog, creating effective User Stories and negotiating effective Sprint Planning meetings with developers.
