In 2006, technology veteran Mike Sappington joined gloStream as CEO and has been developing and implementing the company’s business strategies and overseeing day-to-day operations. Many doctors in different specialty practices work closely with gloStream’s software research and development team to ensure the company’s EMR software meets patient clinical and administrative practice standards.
 
Sappington has participated in fast growing technology companies for more than 20 years with great success, playing pivotal roles from technologist to executive, entrepreneur to investor.
 
Early in his career he participated in developing large database solutions for underground oil and gas exploration. He later joined an Internet security provider and took part in pioneering and developing a platform for outsourced managed security services. He led this company through astounding self-funded growth and a market-leading position until the company was purchased.
 
Since that time, Mike has been a technology investor, participating on several corporate and non-profit boards. In his role as gloStream CEO, Mike is responsible for developing and implementing business strategy and overseeing all aspects of operations for the company and its subsidiaries.
 
gloStream was founded when two software developers met on a Web site dedicated to the exchange of IT projects over the Internet. The two technology professionals with a gift for translating ideas into technological reality came together to found gloStream and begin developing gloEMR, their flagship electronic medical record (EMR) product. 
 
When the founders came together to found gloStream, their mission was clear. They were driven to work closely with key physicians, nurses, medical staff, practice managers and partners to create a user-friendly electronic medical record system that improves patient care and enhances the efficiency of practices that use it.
 
Together with gloStream staff, the founders work in partnership with industry professionals and a physician advisory board to design a robust, extensible EMR platform. This platform integrates and makes various forms of data available —still images and static text to movies and voice recordings—in a flexible easy to understand dashboard environment.

The result of this collaborative effort is gloEMR™, a full-featured EMR that helps physician practices streamline workflow and maximize efficiency in administrative processes. Its simple user interface provides quick access to all pertinent patient information including charts, labs, history, diagnostics, prescription data and more at the point-of-care.
